When you play a game like football, there are going to be a lot of injuries, but it still seems like there have been more than normal this spring.

On Saturday, it was Kentucky’s turn to suffer a key injury, as LB Jamin Davis was spotted leaving the practice facility on crutches, according to a report from Kentucky.com.

Coach Mark Stoops said the injury occurred Thursday during a ball-security drill, adding that the Wildcats expect to find out more about the injury on Monday:

“We’re going to find out more on Monday,” Stoops said after Davis was spotted leaving the practice facility on crutches on Saturday.

“It’s hopefully is not serious. He’s got an injury, a leg injury. We were worried. We’ll let them look at it tomorrow.”

Davis redshirted last year, but he was expected to fill a backup role this year, so hopefully the injury isn’t too serious.

At least it’s still early, but you never want to see a player get injured, no matter what time of year it is.
