Former Kentucky standout receiver Randall Cobb continues to make big plays for his team, only now he does it at the NFL-level. Cobb caught five passes for 39 yards and two touchdowns in a 31-24 come-from-behind win over the New York Jets on Sunday. He now has 11 catches for 97 yards and three touchdowns through two games in 2014.

Here are some other former Wildcats who made an impact around the NFL in Week 2:

  • Winston Guy: Guy recorded seven tackles and a sack for the Jacksonville Jaguars, but it was not enough to keep his team from losing 41-10 to the Washington Redskins.
  • Stevie Johnson: Johnson, another former pass-catching star for UK, pulled in two catches for 26 yards for the San Francisco 49ers in a 28-20 loss to the Chicago Bears.
  • Tim Masthay: Cobb’s teammate in Green Bay booted four punts a total of 197 yards, averaging 49.3 yards per punt in the win over the Jets.
  • Corey Peters: Peters made two tackles from his defensive tackle position in a 24-10 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.
  • Jacob Tamme: The former Cats’ tight end and longtime teammate of Peyton Manning caught a 4-yard touchdown pass from Manning the Denver Broncos 24-17 win over the Kansas City Chiefs.
  • Larry Warford: Warford started at offensive guard for the Detroit Lions in their 24-7 loss to the Carolina Panthers Sunday.
