If you’re looking to make bets this college football season, it’s important to see which teams and coaches have fared well against the spread in recent seasons. And one SEC coach has done much worse than others.
In fact, much worse than other coaches across the country. According to ESPN, Kentucky’s Mark Stoops is 24-36-0 against the spread over the past five seasons. He is just worse than Kevin Sumlin, who is now at Arizona but was at Texas A&M the past five years.
The Wildcats haven’t more than seven games over the past five seasons, and they’ve gone 7-6 each of the past two years. So it’s not too surprising to see that they haven’t fared well against the spread either during that span.
Here are the coaches with the best and worst ATS records over the past five seasons, according to ESPN:

4. Duke’s David Cutcliffe: 36-23-2 ATS
5. Minnesota’s P.J. Fleck: 30-19-0 ATS
