Led by the arm and legs of quarterback Trevor Knight, the Texas A&M Aggies stomped on the Arkansas Razorbacks by a score of 45-24.
Knight accounted for four touchdowns and nearly 400 yards of total offense by himself. As a team, the Aggies accrued 591 yards in the rout.
Head coach Kevin Sumlin addressed the media after the game:
Sumlin: Being able to run it took pressure off of Trevor. Still have to get better. We're a work in progress in red zone. Run game was big.

Sumlin: We played goal line defense twice tonight. That was really good, and it's been a long time since we did it that way.

Sumlin: They had as good a plan to block our ends as anyone. And Allen was really tough today, very impressive.

Sumlin: The 19-play drive kept being extended by what I would call "extreme circumstances." Give them credit. They had a plan.

Sumlin: The efficiency of us being able to run the ball in the second half and create big plays down the field…that was important.

Sumlin: I thought our body language was good in tough situations. It was a turning point in the game getting down on the goal line & winning

Sumlin: It was a weird game…at half, they had it 20 minutes, we had it 10. But we only had six less plays, which isn't that bad.

Coach Sumlin: “Someone asked me last week what Trevor Knight’s best stat was, and I told them ‘winning’."

Sumlin was asked about Knight this past Thursday, and the graduate transfer certainly did deliver in a big way.
