Kewan Lacy was a 4-star signee for the Missouri Tigers out of Texas in the class of 2024. As a freshman this season, he played in 6 games and ran 23 times for 104 yards.
Now the talented Texas native is going to explore his options in the transfer portal. Per a report from Hayes Fawcett of On3 Sports, Lacy is planning to enter his name in the portal ahead of the Tigers’ Music City Bowl matchup against Iowa:
Mizzou and Iowa are set to do battle in Nashville on Monday, December 30, 2024, at 2:30 p.m. ET on ESPN. Coach Eli Drinkwitz and company will now likely have to craft a game plan that doesn’t include Lacy. It is likely that senior RBs Marcus Carroll and Nate Noel will suit up one final time for the Tigers.
We know star WR Luther Burden III won’t play against Iowa, but it remains to be seen which other players opt not to participate in the Music City Bowl.
Kewan Lacy originally committed to Nebraska during his recruitment. He decommitted less than 2 months before signing with Mizzou’s 2024 class. He has 3 years of eligibility remaining for whatever school he ends up at next.
