Kirby Smart announces 2 additions to Georgia staff

Georgia has added 2 new staffers.
On Tuesday, Kirby Smart confirmed two previously reported additions. John Lilly and Phil Rauscher both have the title of offensive assistant now with the Georgia Bulldogs.

Lilly is a familiar face in Athens. He was the special teams and tight ends coach under former UGA head coach Mark Richt from 2008-15.
Lilly’s experience extends well beyond his previous stint with the program. He was on staff with the Los Angeles Rams in 2016 and the Cleveland Browns in 2019. In 2024, Lilly was tight ends coach for the Carolina Panthers. He was a college tight ends coach at North Carolina for 3 seasons before joining the Panthers.
Rauscher also adds NFL experience to the Bulldog coaching staff. He was most recently offensive line coach for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Rauscher was a UCLA offensive lineman from 2003-05. He got into coaching at his alma mater.
Rauscher brings 15 seasons of experience coaching college and professional football. His previous stops Dixie State, Hawaii and Cal Lutheran at the college level and Denver, Washington and Minnesota in the pros.
