Kirby Smart will be a busy man this week.

He is still coaching Alabama’s defense as its defensive coordinator with a national championship on the line upcoming a week from Monday against Clemson. But that does not mean his attention has completely diverted from his new job as head coach of Georgia.

Smart is expected to be in attendance at Everbank Field today when Georgia takes on Penn State in the Taxslayer Bowl, the Athens Banner-Herald reports.

It has been difficult for both Georgia and Alabama for Smart to balance both jobs. Smart has not quite been able to get to work in Athens with Alabama still competing for a national championship. But both teams have allowed him to work through it.

The Crimson Tide have plenty of experience with coaches who finish the year with them while they play for a national championship before taking on new jobs. It is good the schedule allows Smart to get a break and watch his new team before he prepares for the National Championship Game.

Georgia plays Penn State in the Taxslayer Bowl today at noon on ESPN.
