Did Kirby Smart even sleep last night after the win over the Wolverines?
Georgia’s game against Michigan didn’t get over until late. Add in postgame press conferences and the trophy presentation, and it’s likely Georgia players and coaches didn’t sleep too much overnight.
Smart joined College GameDay Saturday morning, and he was asked when the Bulldogs “turned by the page to focus on Alabama” following the win over Michigan. He shared a nice laugh with the GameDay crew.
“That was last night,” Smart said laughing. “You know when you gotta go play those guys (Alabama), you gotta get ready. So, we just landed (in Athens). We’re headed into the office now. We’re going to put this game behind us.
“We’ve got some good notes from the last time we played them. We gotta try and use those and certainly get a better plan for the players.”
Nick Saban joined College GameDay earlier Saturday morning, too, and he reacted to Georgia’s blowout win over Michigan.
The SEC Championship rematch, formally known as the national championship, happens Monday, January 10.
