Kirby Smart participates in satellite camp with Harbaugh; hosts 2018 top dual-threat QB
While the SEC, and in particular Alabama head coach Nick Saban, may not be particularly fond of the idea of unregulated satellite camps, the league’s coaches will use every resource currently at their disposal to help land the nation’s top prospects. As such, Georgia head coach Kirby Smart wisely took time Thursday to participate in an Atlanta area camp held at Maynard Jackson High School.
Smart arrived to the camp in boss style:

The camp not only featured Smart but Michigan head coach Jim Harbargh. Harbaugh of course made waves recently for taking a shot at Alabama and Saban via Twitter, when questioned about his comments, Harbaugh refused to back down from those statements earlier Thursday.
Despite coming from the Saban coaching tree, Smart did not appear to take any offense to Harbaugh’s comments:

After co-hosting the event with Harbargh, Smart quickly departed and returned to Athens to visit with an extremely important guest.
Top 2018 quarterback Emory Jones, currently rated as a four-star recruit and the No. 2 dual-threat prospect in the nation by 247Sports, visited UGA’s campus and tweeted out this photo with Smart:

Georgia is known to be recruiting 2018 five-star quarterback Trevor Lawrence but Smart has indicated his desire to add more dual-threat prospects to the Bulldogs roster, noting the stress those players place on opposing defenses. Jones is currently favoring Ohio State, Tennessee and Clemson in his recruitment but don’t be surprised to see Georgia make a move and rise up his list following the visit.
