Kirby Smart savagely trolls Johnny Manziel during Nike clinic

Kirby Smart is one of the top head coaches in all of college football these days. The head man at Georgia also knows how to hit some players where it hurts, including former Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel.
During a recent presentation at a Nike COY event, Smart included a graphic of 4 quarterbacks on screen: Former college stars Bryce Young (Alabama), Cam Newton (Auburn), Joe Burrow (LSU) and Manziel. The head coach then asked his attendees what all 4 have in common.
Some of the responses Smart acknowledged were spot on:
“Heisman, that’s a good answer, that’s actually true,” responded Smart. “They’re definitely quarterbacks, that’s the most elementary thing.”
However, one person said champions, a comment that elicited a savage shot from Smart at Manziel.
“Champions? He ain’t a champion, a champion of what? Champion of Fireball!” Kirby Smart responded to a chorus of laughter.
Of course, Smart is spot-on with his assessment. While Manziel went down as one of the top 25 players in Texas A&M football history, he failed to lead the Aggies to an SEC Championship during his time in college.
Smart’s presentation wasn’t designed to be a shot at Manziel. In fact, he clarified the similarity between each player is that they all went off against his defense in various ways, either during his time as a defensive coordinator on the Alabama staff of Nick Saban or his current defense at Georgia. But when an opportunity to drop that bomb came by, Smart couldn’t pass it up!
