The No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs look to continue their march to a 3-peat as the Bulldogs travel to take on the Auburn Tigers.

These 2 teams have have the Deep South’s oldest rivalry, as the first matchup was in 1892, and they have played 127 total times, with Georgia leading 63-56-8. The Bulldogs are currently on a 6-game winning streak in the series, but coach Kirby Smart knows this isn’t going to be an easy game.

Smart spoke to CBS ahead of the game.

“Preparing is hard when you go on the road in the SEC,” Smart said. “You can’t simulate what it feels like to have that many people yelling and screaming. You have to be able to block out the imposters.”

While Auburn enters this game off a tough loss against Texas A&M, Smart likes what he has seen from the Tigers early in the season.

“Auburn is a very dangerous football team,” Smart said. “When you have a new staff and a new program, there is usually complete buy-in. You see them playing really physical and really hard. They have a good run game, athletic quarterback and one of the best defenses in the country. You can tell they have bought in to Huge Freeze and the program.”

Kickoff between the old rivals is scheduled for 3:30 pm ET and will be aired on CBS.
