Kirk Herbstreit blasts alma mater Ohio State’s uniforms for Michigan game

ESPN college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit is not a fan of the football uniforms his alma mater, Ohio State, chose to wear on Saturday.
And he probably has a point.
There’s nothing wrong with alternate unis in most cases, but at some point, as Herbie pointed out in a tweet on Saturday, a line must be drawn.
Some college football traditions must be preserved, for the sake of the game. The historic sanctity of the Ohio State-Michigan rivalry is one of those traditions, and Herbstreit would prefer to see the regular uniforms for that game, at least.
A lot of Ohio State — and Michigan, for that matter — fans probably agree with him.
Here’s what Herbstreit tweeted:
Call me a traditionalist, but these uniforms are AWFUL!!! Ohio State/Michigan game can’t we put the alternates to the side!!! Please draw the line somewhere. #Tradition

And a look at the unis, courtesy of Twitter user @cfloud, who also apparently doesn’t like them:
Can we quit the whole brand new jersey styles every few games? When I watch an historic #rivalry like #MichiganVsOhioState it would be cool if #OhioState actually looked like Ohio State. #UofM #OSU #OSUvsMICH #CollegeFootball pic.twitter.com/lbfvs4a4sf
