Kirk Herbstreit catches flack for analysis of drop by Texas WR Isaiah Bond

Kirk Herbstreit is not a fan of receiver who jump to catch passes. He did not like it when Arian Smith did it at Georgia in what the analyst deemed to be at unnecessary times, something he made known on far more than one occasion.
And he equally did not care for it when Texas Longhorns wide receiver Isaiah Bond jumped to catch a pass from quarterback Quinn Ewers in the second quarter that resulted in one of the most painfully terrible drops we’ve seen in a long time. In Herbstreit’s defense, some of Smith’s drops were equally as bad, as the wideout was a part of quite literally the worst wide receiving corps in the FBS when it came to dropping passes.
But, while most are arguing that it was inexcusable for Bond to have dropped a pass that appeared to go right into his hands, other have argued that it was a poor throw by Ewers.
Here’s a look at what social media had to say about the play.
