Kirk Herbstreit and ESPN’s College GameDay crew will be in Oxford, Miss., on Saturday for the first time since 2014 — and for only the second time ever. The popular college football kickoff show is again going to get a taste of what tailgating at The Grove is all about.
Herbstreit already knows. He saw it in person the last time College GameDay was in town, and he knows that Rebels fans are going to be amped up for Saturday’s game against Texas A&M.
It’s going to be a big-time SEC West clash, and Herbstreit was on Twitter on Friday already hyping up the matchup and the atmosphere in Oxford:
So pumped to be back in Oxford for @CollegeGameDay and the Texas A&M-Ole Miss game. The Grove is going to be a MADHOUSE tomorrow. Come early and bring your signs!!! pic.twitter.com/gvXBt0KOcr

Ole Miss’ 2 losses this season have come against Alabama and Auburn. But it will get another opportunity to try to take down a top SEC West team when it goes up against Texas A&M.
Perhaps the College GameDay atmosphere will provide a boost to the Rebels. The only other time the show was in Oxford was Oct. 4, 2014, when they knocked off Alabama.
College GameDay will air live on ESPN at 9 a.m. ET on Saturday, then Ole Miss and Texas A&M will kick off at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN.
