Kirk Herbstreit names top-performing teams of Week 13, including 2 from SEC

Kirk Herbstreit revealed his list of the top 8 performing teams in Week 13 on Monday.
Coming in at No. 2 are the South Carolina Gamecocks. The Gamecocks earned their 2nd-consecutive huge win in Week 13, defeating the Clemson Tigers 31-30 in Death Valley. This was just a week after the Gamecocks defeated the Tennessee Volunteers convincingly. Spencer Rattler had an exceptional game against Clemson, throwing for 360 yards and 2 TDs.
Speaking of Tennessee, the Volunteers were also included in Herbstreit’s list, coming in at No. 8.

It would have been reasonable to expect the Vols to come out flat against Vanderbilt after essentially seeing their playoff hopes crushed the week prior. However, the Vols throttled the Commodores in Nashville, winning by a score of 56-0.
The Gamecocks ended their regular season with an 8-4 record, while the Volunteers ended with a 10-2 record.
