Kirk Herbstreit: ‘Leaning towards Arkansas’ in the SEC West

It’ll only be a few short weeks before ESPN College GameDay analyst Kirk Herbstreit starts making his predictions for the 2015 season.

However, did Herbstreit let the cat out of the bag on an under-the-radar SEC West pick?

On Friday, Herbstreit was asked on Twitter if he’s choosing Alabama or Auburn in the West. His response? He admitted he’s leaning towards Arkansas.

Granted, Herbstreit’s pick may indeed change before his official predictions come out, but the fact that he’s leaning Arkansas right now says he believes in what Bret Bielema is building.

On Thursday, the SEC media chose Alabama to win the SEC West, with Auburn winning the SEC Championship. It just shows you the media is really high and mostly split on the Crimson Tide and Tigers.

However, Arkansas is figured by some to be the SEC West darkhorse candidate for 2015. With strong line of scrimmage play, a veteran quarterback and a loaded backfield, the Hogs are a trendy candidate to make some noise.

But can the Hogs win the SEC West?

Bielema has everyone talking about the Hogs, especially after his fantastic SEC Media Days press conference.
