Kirk Herbstreit shares thoughts on Ole Miss after disappointing loss vs. LSU

Kirk Herbstreit isn’t knocking No. 9 Ole Miss as much as some others are after the Rebels fell 29-26 to the No. 13 LSU Tigers in Baton Rouge on Saturday in overtime.
It marks the second loss of the season for Lane Kiffin’s team that now holds an overall record of 5-2 on the season.
While Herbstreit is giving Ole Miss a little bit of grace here, does see room for improvement for a team that has hit a bit of a rough patch lately.
“What a win for (Brian Kelly) and LSU (football),” Herbstreit posted on X. “Ole Miss is a good football team struggling putting teams away. Tough to win in (Death Valley) at night. Tigers just kept it coming and eventually got it to OT and got the win.”

The only other loss Ole Miss has suffered so far this season was the 20-17 fall to Kentucky back on Sept. 28.
The Rebels will look to get back on track as they face the No. 18 Oklahoma Sooner son Oct. 26.
