That didn’t take long.
Former Texas A&M quarterback Kyler Murray is headed to Oklahoma, the school’s football Twitter account announced Thursday.

Murray, a former five-star recruit who signed with Texas A&M out of high school rather than go to Texas or pursue a professional baseball career, apparently will try to succeed Heisman Trophy finalist Baker Mayfield at OU.
At 5-foot-11, 185 pounds, Murray looked limited as an SEC passer during his true freshman season. He threw 5 touchdowns against 7 interceptions and just 5.7 yards per attempt. But he did run for 6.3 yards per carry.
His best athletic future still may be as a middle infielder. Murray was slated to play baseball at Texas A&M as well, but transferred from College Station after just one season.
Many people were shocked at Murray’s initial announcement, especially just days after Kyle Allen announced his own transfer, presumably clearing the way for Murray to start at Texas A&M in 2016.
Instead, Murray follows 2015 transfer Kenny Hill to the Big 12. Hill, another former Aggies quarterback, will be eligible to play for TCU in 2016.
It’s possible that the Oklahoma Sooners and Texas A&M Aggies are making a quarterback swap of sorts. Former OU quarterback Trevor Knight is rumored to be headed to College Station, although there’s been no official announcement.
