Lamont Butler has been a major piece for Kentucky under new head coach Mark Pope. Unfortunately, the star guard is not going to be available when John Calipari returns to Rupp Arena with Arkansas.

On Friday night, it was confirmed in the pre-gam availability report that Butler would be missing his 2nd straight game. Butler also missed the midweek matchup vs. Tennessee.

Some good news for Kentucky was included in the availability report with Andrew Carr officially listed as probable for the game. Carr was previously questionable against the Vols and played but saw just one minute of action.

Even with the injury news, Kentucky is still a strong 11.5-point favorite vs. the Razorbacks per bet365. Fans can get into the action with the bet365 bonus code KY.

Butler is a massive absence as the team’s 2nd-leading scorer at 13.2 points per game and the leader in assists (4.8) and steals (1.8). He is also among the team’s top threats from 3-point range at 40%.

Carr is the team’s 5th-leading scorer at 10.4 points per game and is also averaging 5.3 rebounds and 2.2 assists while shooting nearly 54% from the floor.

The injuries did not bother Kentucky during Tuesday’s 78-73 road win over Tennessee. With Butler sidelined, Koby Brea stepped up with a team-high 18 points while drilling all 5 of his field goal attempts, including 3 from long range.

We’ll see who steps up this time around.
