Florida Atlantic head coach Lane Kiffin flipped a class of 2018 junior college commitment away from Mississippi State on Monday.
The nation’s No. 2 JUCO wide receiver is headed to #thefaU.
Kiffin signed Copiah-Lincoln Community College (Mississippi) wide receiver Nero Nelson after the prospect visited Boca Raton over the weekend.
Nelson is rated as a 3-star prospect and is the No. 10 JUCO player in the state of Mississippi, according to the 247Sports Composite.
In addition to his offers from Florida Atlantic and Mississippi State, the 6-foot, 180-pound receiver also has an offer from Louisville.
This is a nice pickup for Kiffin and the Owls.
Nelson posted the tweet below on Monday:
After a long talk with my family I am proud to say that I am committed to The university of Florida Atlantic .. @CJTrickett9 #Owlsup pic.twitter.com/2WYbF4niAn
