Lane Kiffin lets Greg McElroy know he hasn’t forgotten about 2009 Tennessee-Alabama

Lane Kiffin is usually trolling Tennessee, but occasionally he takes a break to coach football and appear on radio shows.
Kiffin has appeared on SiriusXM’s “The First Team” every Thursday throughout this college football season. The program is hosted in part by SEC Network analyst — and former Alabama quarterback — Greg McElroy.
Kiffin apparently sent McElroy and the crew some pretty cool Florida Atlantic shirts that said “Come to #ThefaU” on the front and “Get on the Lane Train” on the back.
It was nice gesture by the former Tennessee head coach.
McElroy tweeted out photos on Tuesday:
We’ve had @Lane_Kiffin on the #FirstTeam every Thursday of the football season. It’s official, I’m on the Lane Train. Come #tothefaU pic.twitter.com/aTs1MqFMDm

The funny thing is, Kiffin responded to McElroy’s tweet.
He wanted to make sure the former Tide quarterback was aware that he hasn’t forgotten Alabama’s 12-10 win over Tennessee in 2009.
The Vols lost dramatically to the Crimson Tide that year when nose tackle Terrence Cody blocked a UT field goal attempt with time expiring.
Kiffin remembers it well:
Still should of beat u at UT!! #zerotds https://t.co/kmAxKurj8s

Of course, years later, Kiffin ended up as Alabama’s offensive coordinator under Nick Saban before taking the FAU job.
