Lane Kiffin lobbies College Football Playoff selection committee on social media

Lane Kiffin and the Ole Miss Rebels are on the cusp of making the College Football Playoff, but their case was greatly hurt when they fell 24-17 to the Florida Gators in Week 13.

They also struggled against the Mississippi State Bulldogs, one of the lowliest teams in the sport right now, in the 26-14 Egg Bowl victor on Friday. But Kiffin has been adamant about making a case for his team to be included in the race this year with the new expanded 12-team format.

Kiffin recently took to social media, as he so often does in classic Kiffin fashion, to lobby for the Rebs. He tagged the CFP committee in a pair of posts and also reposted an Ole Miss Playoff argument. And, to be fair, it is clear to see that a reasonable point is made in terms of where Alabama is currently ranked and what Ole Miss has done in comparison.

It is going to be a close call either way, but whether or not the Rebels are left on the outside looking in or just barely edge their way in will be a storyline to follow as the final CFP rankings are revealed with the postseason getting underway.
