Lane Kiffin sends cryptic tweet following John Franklin III’s Auburn transfer

Florida Atlantic head coach Lane Kiffin posted an interesting tweet on Tuesday afternoon shortly after news broke that John Franklin III was transferring from Auburn to join Kiffin and the Owls.

Presumably, the tweet is related to the fact that FAU is getting a talented new quarterback.

It’s also worth noting that Kiffin probably didn’t look things over too closely before tweeting (thefaU?!?!).

One interesting aspect of this situation is the fact that Kiffin previously coached at Alabama. Whether or not he has any emotional tie to Alabama is another story, but regardless, it must feel good to pull a player away from the Tigers.

Geographically speaking, this is a good move for Franklin III, as Boca Raton is just about a half hour away from his hometown of Fort Lauderdale.
