Monte Kiffin is best known for his time in the NFL as the father of the “Tampa 2” defense. After his time coaching alongside Lane at Tennessee and USC, Monte returned to the NFL. He last coached in the NFL in 2016 as a defensive assistant with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Since 2017, he has returned to the college ranks to work with Lane again. At Ole Miss, Monte has the title of player personnel analyst.
If Monte does visit The Grove on Saturday, he’s sure to be welcomed at many tailgates.
