Lane Kiffin says his 81-year-old father is ready for The Grove.

The Ole Miss head coach tweeted a video of his father, Monte Kiffin, showing off his dance moves for Rebels players ahead of the team’s home opener Saturday against Austin Peay.

Monte Kiffin is best known for his time in the NFL as the father of the “Tampa 2” defense. After his time coaching alongside Lane at Tennessee and USC, Monte returned to the NFL. He last coached in the NFL in 2016 as a defensive assistant with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Since 2017, he has returned to the college ranks to work with Lane again. At Ole Miss, Monte has the title of player personnel analyst.

If Monte does visit The Grove on Saturday, he’s sure to be welcomed at many tailgates.
