South Carolina quarterback LaNorris Sellers has been hyped up for the majority of the season, and that is for good reason as the quarterback has been key to a pivotal season.

That continued into Rivalry Week as the Gamecocks faced the Clemson Tigers in the traditional in-state matchup. Sellers put the first points on the board for Shane Beamer’s team in this one doing what he does best, taking it in with his legs on a long touchdown rush.

That’s exactly what helped did the trick in the Gamecocks’ 34-30 win over Missouri earlier this year that many felt would go to overtime, but instead was won outright by Sellers’ efforts on the ground.

Here’s a look at the quarterback’s touchdown rush that tied things up for South Carolina at 7-7 as of the top of the second quarter.

Sellers came into the game with a 65.2% completion rate, passing for 2,110 yards with 17 touchdowns and 6 interceptions. He also totaled 489 rushing yards and 5 touchdowns on 139 carries, factoring well into the rushing attack for South Carolina that has caused so many teams issues.

South Carolina needs more from Sellers and perhaps more from around the country to reach the College Football Playoff, but the opportunity is there. Let’s see if the Gamecocks can seize it.
