It’s Week 1 of the 2018 college football season and fans are already sick of Dr. Pepper’s new “Fansville” ad campaign.
We thought it would take a lot for fans to actually miss former Dr. Pepper college football ad spokesman Larry Culpepper, but it appears we’re already there.
As you can see below, fans are flocking to Twitter to call for the return of Culpepper (or at least the end of the “Fansville” campaign):
@drpepper u killed Larry Culpepper for this steaming pile of crap Fansville concept? Delete your account.

So where’s Larry Culpepper? Does he live in Fansville, @drpepper?
— Michael Elder (@Coach_Elder) September 3, 2018
Fansville for Larry Culpepper? Way to go “Jim” v.p. of marketing, great idea d-bag! Took away something that had people dressing up for Halloween for something that’s just plain lame.

There was even an online petition started to bring back Culpepper, though it only had four signatures as of Monday evening:
Fansville is meh, bring back… #care2 https://t.co/GB9Fzwuxlu

Will we see Culpepper make a triumphant return to our television sets? Only time will tell. Your move, Dr. Pepper.
