January belongs to the SEC.
Out of the 10 SEC bowl games, five of them will end in 2016. The Alabama-Michigan State game ended just minutes before the new year.
If that’s not enough evidence, consider that 13 of the 14 SEC teams have won a January game since 2011. Here’s the most recent January win for each of the programs entering today, when Tennessee, Florida and Ole Miss all play.
Alabama, Arkansas and Georgia all will have an opportunity to update their most recent January win as well.
