The SEC Network has a pregame show, SEC Nation, that travels to the biggest conference matchup of the week. This week, the show will be in Oxford for Alabama-Ole Miss.

SEC Network reporter Laura Rutledge will be at the game and it will be her first time on SEC Nation in Oxford.

“It’s another big opportunity for Ole Miss,” said Rutledge, via al.com. “If they could beat Alabama for the third straight time – I don’t think it happens – but if they could, that would be almost ridiculous.”

She then talked about her interviewing duties.

“If I am interviewing Saban, you want to ask him about how Ole Miss has been a monkey on their back the last couple of years,” said Rutledge, who said she will also plan to interview former Rebel quarterback Archie Manning. “What will be different this time around, especially at their home (field)?

“You are dealing with a hostile crowd, what do you do with Jalen Hurts, the freshman quarterback? He’s shown so much talent and spark. There were questions last week. … It will be interesting to see how he manages Jalen Hurts.”

Rutledge then talked about two of the SEC Network’s biggest names in Tim Tebow and Paul Finebaum.

“If you actually know these guys, they’re not primadonnas at all,” she said. “They are so funny, and so much fun. Finebaum is one of the funniest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of getting to know. He’s very similar to what he is on the air. He’s so dry and really just so funny. He’ll have these one-liners that kinda make you laugh so hard. He barely ever brings them out.

“Tebow, obviously, with what he has had going on with everything in baseball, has been very busy. But he’s super-willing to focus on his job at SEC Nation. He’s put a lot of time into that.”
