Mack Rhoades was introduced as Baylor’s athletic director Monday. But he didn’t look ahead without a few glances back at Missouri.
Speaking at Big 12 Media Days in Dallas, Rhoades offered some reflections as he prepared to begin a new professional chapter. He left Missouri last Wednesday after a short stint in Columbia, where he was introduced as the school’s athletic director in April 2015.
Here’s an image of Rhoades behind the microphone and a sampling of what was said regarding Missouri:

Rhoades: never looked at Baylor and Mizzou as a comparison. Thought Baylor was a great opportunity.

Certainly, Rhoades will have his work cut out for him at Baylor, which is reeling from a massive sexual assault scandal. Time will show if he can turn around the athletic program there and rebuild it in a positive way. Missouri, meanwhile, has questions of its own in a number of areas after Rhoades’ departure. The school has named Wren Baker as its interim athletic director.
