It’s hard to imagine College GameDay without Lee Corso. The 86-year-old has been a part of the show since its inception in 1987, part of the reason behind its appeal over its 3-and-a-half decades on the air.
The signature feature of the show is undoubtedly Corso’s headgear pick, where he dons the mascot head of the team he predicts to win the featured game of the week. Corso’s worn countless pieces of headgear over his time at the GameDay desk while getting acquainted with a number of college mascots, but which one is his favorite?
On Saturday’s episode, with the crew in Ames for a Top 10 matchup between Iowa State and Iowa, Corso revealed that it’s the Oregon Duck. Oregon fans will certainly love to hear that, especially as their team prepares to take on Ohio State with a chance for the Ducks to make an early case for a College Football Playoff spot.
By the way, Corso picked Oregon to defeat Ohio State in Columbus on Saturday.
