Longtime College Gameday host Lee Corso wants to see the “World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party” leave Jacksonville.
This rivalry game between Georgia and Florida has been played in Jacksonville, Florida for the majority of the series. Corso would like to see the two teams play at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium and Sanford Stadium instead of EverBank Field.
In his argument, Corso also referenced the rivalry between Alabama and Auburn, which used to take place in Birmingham, Alabama.

With only three exceptions, every game has been played in Jacksonville since the 1933 season. Because of World War II, Florida chose not to have a team in 1943.
In 1994, the teams played Gainesville, Florida. This occurred because the location in Jacksonville needed renovations. Even though they were completed in 1995, the teams played in Athens, Georgia, so both schools could host one another.
While Jacksonville is located in Florida, the seats are pretty even with Bulldog and Gator fans. Many of the fans don’t even make it inside the game. They come for the party beforehand, which is one of the best tailgating events in the country. Hence, the “World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party.”
