With nothing to gain, LSU coach Les Miles finally decided to remove Leonard Fournette from the game.
That was the scene Saturday in Houston, Texas, as the Tigers and Texas Tech Red Raiders experienced some rodeo fun.
Whether it was roping a calf or chasing around some other animal, the Tigers coach made it clear that Leonard Fournette was not to participate. Fournette figures to be the primary option in Tuesday night’s Texas Bowl as the Red Raiders feature one of the worst rushing defenses in the NCAA.
Though Rodeo Bowl is a fun event, coaches are careful about using certain players. I didn't see Mahomes, Fournette taking active roles.

? to Les Miles: "You didn't want Leonard chasing a cow around?"
Miles: "No. No. Absolutely not."
To Miles: "Did he want to?"
"Absolutely."— Don Williams (@AJ_DonWilliams) December 27, 2015
Miles: "I think there were guys over on our side who were having a blast and sooo wanted in it."

However, Jakeem Grant and Le'Raven Clark were prominent guys involved in running and chasing. https://t.co/e7ChvuFVDX

Fournette wasn’t forced to sit in the stands, however. The coaching staff did allow him to participate in a goofy dance, cowboy hat on his head.
