Les Miles responds to report he was contacted by Phillip Fulmer for Tennessee job

On Saturday, it was reported by 247Sports that new Tennessee AD Phillip Fulmer had contacted ex-LSU coach Les Miles about the Vols’ open coaching position.
As the search in Knoxville wears on, it’s not too much of a surprise that Miles is being linked to the position — he has a national title on his resume, after all.
However, in response to the report on Saturday, Miles texted Ross Dellenger of The Advocate, saying there’s nothing new to report just yet:
“No real news!!” it said.
Fulmer is expected to make a hire soon after former AD John Currie was turned down by several big-name candidates.
Miles, of course, is eager to return to the coaching ranks after sitting out the 2017 season. Will the fit end up working out for both parties? That remains to be seen, but more news could be coming very soon in Knoxville.
