In a wacky and wild finish, LSU lost in heartbreaking fashion to Auburn by a score of 18-13 after it appeared as if Les Miles and his Tigers had won the game as time expired. As it turned out, LSU came up a second short.
LSU QB Danny Etling wasn’t able to get the final play off in time as the clock had already reached double zero just before the snap of the ball — which did result in what would’ve been the game-winning score.
Following the incredibly tough loss in what many have been calling a “loser leaves town” matchup between LSU’s head coach and Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn, Miles addressed the media:
Les: "I don't know I've come as close to winning a game to Finnish second." #LSU
