Texas A&M has had a rough start to its football season.

The Aggies and head coach Kevin Sumlin saw UCLA erase a 44-10 lead in the second half as the Bruins posted 28 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to win 45-44. The loss was devastating, but another can of worms was opened soon after the game finished.

Texas A&M Board of Regents member Anthony (Tony) Buzbee took to Facebook to call for Sumlin to be fired. Since that time, many in the college football world have weighed in to publicly criticize Buzbee’s comments.

Former Auburn head coach Tommy Tuberville is the latest to weigh in on the topic, and he believes board members have a responsibility to their position.

“When you are on the Board of Regents or an administrator, you can’t be a fan,” explained Tuberville. “You’ve gotta be an administrator.”

ESPNU Radio shared Tuberville’s full comments on Twitter:
