LOOK: Florida sheriff trolls Tennessee coaching search with help of K9 unit

If you’ve been paying attention to Tennessee’s coaching search, you know the Volunteers are currently a national laughingstock.

Since the Vols’ fan base helped nix the hiring of Greg Schiano on Sunday, Tennessee has been publicly turned down by a trio of coaches, including Oklahoma State’s Mike Gundy, Purdue’s Jeff Brohm and NC State’s Dave Doeren.

A Florida sheriff’s office trolled the Vols and their crazy coaching search on Thursday by tweeting out a picture of a K9 dog that allegedly turned down the UT head coaching job.

“Sorry, Vol Football, Ace (the dog) called this press conference to announce he would not be the new head coach at Tennessee,” the Pasco Sheriff’s Office (West Central Florida) posted on Twitter. “He will be staying with our K9 Unit.”

Making fun of Tennessee on a national angle has been quite common lately. Perhaps the Vols will soon find someone willing to coach their football team.
