Former Ohio State wide receivers coach Zach Smith is standing by his claim that he never abused his ex-wife, contradicting reports that have stated otherwise.
On Wednesday, Smith sent out multiple tweets defending himself and calling out college football reporter Brett McMurphy, and the media in general, for the role that Smith believes they negatively played in the saga.
Smith was fired when the domestic violence allegations became public. After a two-week investigation conducted by Ohio State, coach Urban Meyer received a three-game suspension.
Smith also defended Meyer in several of his tweets.
