At this point, you’ve probably already heard about Rick Pitino being fired from the University of Louisville. If not, here’s a great summary of what went down earlier today.
He’s been one of the top collegiate basketball coaches for a while, and the news has been one of the biggest stories since it broke a few hours ago.
Here’s a picture that will be forever remembered as the perfect conclusion to Pitino’s time at Louisville:

Pitino was most recently a guest picker for College Gameday back in Week 3, and he made quite the impression with a No. 8 jersey to represent star quarterback Lamar Jackson.
The more ironic part of the picture is the symbolic police officers hovering over Pitino as he displays strength — almost like he is untouchable. Of course, that wasn’t the intent Pitino had at the time, but it does really pull the picture together. Don’t you think?
Either way, this photo will forever be linked to Pitino’s downfall after a 416-143 record during his 16-year career with the Cardinals.
