Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa entered the Mississippi State game battling a knee injury. A hit to the knee area injured Tagovailoa’s quads and sidelined him for the fourth quarter.
Not surprisingly, the multiple hits to the injured knee Tagovailoa took were a hot topic during and after the game.

One Bulldogs defender wants to make it clear he wasn’t trying to injure the Alabama quarterback and is praying for him to get better. Mississippi State CB Cameron Dantzler tagged Tagovailoa in a tweet Saturday after the game. MSU teammate Jeffery Simmons quoted the tweet and vouched for Dantzler.
I hope @Tuaamann is alright, praying for you my guy didn’t try to hurt you was just Trynna make a play ??

Cam, good game bro! No one steps on that field with the intentions to hurt another player! Block all that negativity out saying that you was aiming for his knee! https://t.co/xIXTSljtn5

Hopefully we see Tagovailoa back on the field soon.
