LOOK: Tennessee’s Tyler Byrd, other Vols, plan to show ‘love and support’ for bullied middle schooler

Tennessee wide receiver Tyler Byrd is trying to make a positive difference in a Knoxville child’s life.

Byrd initiated a movement to help combat bullying on Saturday after he — and many other people on Twitter — saw a sad video surface of a young boy talking about how he has been bullied.

Byrd, along with four other Volunteers — Jarrett Guarantano, John Kelly, Trey Smith and Carlin Fils-aime — will make a trip to a Knoxville middle school next week to “show the young man some love.”

The players also will stream part of the interaction live on Twitter so that people can express love and support, Byrd said:

This all started on Saturday after the video below (posted on Twitter by user @Elijah_Official) went viral.
