Before 2018 4-star S Leon O’Neal Jr. eventually signed with Texas A&M, he was recruited by schools like Clemson.
As he prepares for his first season in College Station, though, he noticed that Clemson DC Brent Venables has been making similar promises to other recruits.
When a story was tweeted about Venables telling another top recruit that his first play at Clemson would be a blitz, O’Neal thought that sounded familiar, calling out Venables on Twitter:
He told me the same thing lying ass https://t.co/uFJmVd9QmE

To be fair to Venables, since O’Neal didn’t sign with Clemson, it’s not out of the question that Kobe Dean, the other player who said Venables promised him a first-play blitz, could actually have that happen.
However, it’s also probably not going to happen now, as Dean shouldn’t have told a media member, who then tweeted it out, as now everyone will be expecting the blitz.
