Looking back: Kirk Herbstreit’s ‘ESPN College GameDay’ picks for Week 12

Published:
Part of ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit’s job is to make predictions during ESPN’s “College GameDay.” Each week, we’ll keep track of how the former Ohio State quarterback’s SEC prognostication is going for the 2015 season.
This week: 1-2
Season: 23-16
THE PICKS
For the second straight week, Herbstreit only tabbed one out of three games correctly. Only Ole Miss’ impressive win against LSU kept him from going 0-for-the-week.
WIN: Ole Miss over LSU — The Rebels stayed alive in the SEC West race while the Tigers continued their late-season swoon.
LOSS: Vanderbilt +6 over Texas A&M — This was Herbstreit’s “Superdog,” but the Commodores didn’t hunt in a 25-0 loss to the Aggies.
LOSS: Arkansas over Mississippi State — This was an exciting, back-and-forth affair that could have gone either way. In the end, Mississippi State earned a 51-50 win.
