Two former SEC players were involved in the Los Angeles Chargers’ latest roster moves. The Chargers signed former Georgia defender Davin Bellamy and cut former Mississippi State quarterback KJ Costello.
Bellamy has been in the league since 2018 but has yet to suit up in a regular-season contest. He has bounced around the league, spending time with Houston, Cincinnati, Tennessee and San Francisco. He was in 49ers training camp earlier this month.
Costello, who went undrafted after completing his college career at MSU, signed with Los Angeles on Aug. 1. He did not play in the Chargers’ preseason game against the Rams this past Saturday.
