LSU adds commitment from 4-star DB out of Alabama to 2026 recruiting class

LSU is working on improving the 2026 recruiting class, and the Tigers landed another key piece for the cycle on Friday evening.
While the majority of the country is focused on the NCAA Tournament, recruiting never sleeps, and Brian Kelly and his staff picked up a key piece ou tof the southeast. The player is Dylan Purter, an impressive cornerback prospect out of Booker T. Washington High School in Tuskegee, Alabama.
His final decision came down to LSU, Kentucky and North Carolina with the Tigers winning out. Purter generated nearly 2 dozen offers before whittling down his list an making his commitment.

According to the 247 Sports Composite, Purter is a 4-star recruit and the 25th available CB in the entire country for the class of 2026. He’s a top-300 player per the system and the 15th overall player out of Alabama.
Listed at 6-feet and 165 pounds, Purter also runs track in high school. He registered 97 tackles and 2 interceptions in 9 games as a junior during the 2024 season.
The addition of Purter brings LSU’s recruiting class up to 8 hard commitments for the cycle, a group that ranks 4th nationally per the 247 Sports Team Composite. From that group, 7 players have received a 4-star rating or better with 5-star wide receiver Tristen Keys leading the way.
