LSU officially clinched a spot in the SEC Tournament with its win over Ole Miss on Thursday night.
The victory pushed the Tigers to 11 SEC wins on the year. LSU also has the head-to-head tiebreaker over Missouri, which means it can not be caught by Mizzou in the conference standings. Here’s video of the final out in LSU’s victory over Ole Miss:

Missouri (8-20) also lost on Thursday night in a close game at Mississippi State.
Thursday’s results mean that the 12-team field for next weekend’s SEC Baseball Tournament in Hoover is officially set. However, seeding for the tournament could still be impacted over the next 2 days depending on results for the SEC’s regular season finale.
Entering the weekend, the No. 1 seed, both division crowns and first-round byes were still up in the air.
After Thursday night’s results, Kentucky still holds a 1-game lead over Tennessee in the SEC East after both teams won their series openers. In the West, Texas A&M defeated Arkansas 1-0 in 11 innings to keep its hopes alive of winning that division. The Aggies need to sweep the Razorbacks this weekend if they hope to win the division crown.
Georgia also won Thursday night, which means the Bulldogs could still earn a top-4 seed and a first-round bye in the SEC Tournament. UGA has won 9 consecutive games and remains just 1-game back of Texas A&M for the No. 4 seed.
Texas A&M’s series against Arkansas will continue on Friday at 7 p.m. CT. All SEC series this weekend will conclude on Saturday, barring any weather delays.
