LSU cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. will officially have his No. 24 jersey retired by Dunham High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Stingley will be the third-ever former Dunham Tiger to have his jersey number retired when the Tigers play their jamboree game on Aug. 27.

Stingley (class of 2019) will join No. 14 Todd Kinchen (class of 1987) and No. 9 Sean Cangelosi (class of 1996) as the only players to have their jersey numbers retired by the program.

As a senior at Dunham, Stingley was named the Gatorade Louisiana Player of the Year in 2018. Stingley would eventually be the third-ranked prospect in the 2019 recruiting class.

He looks to become the second-ever LSU Tiger to be named a first-team All-American in 3 separate seasons (joining Tommy Casanova) in school history. Stingley is a potential top-10 pick for the upcoming 2022 NFL Draft should he forgo his senior year.
