There have been plenty of questions surrounding the LSU quarterback situation, with veteran signal-caller Myles Brennan shockingly stepping away from football with just weeks to go before the start of the season.

Now, the Tigers are largely expected to go with Arizona State transfer Jayden Daniels at quarterback, though head coach Brian Kelly has not released who his final decision is. T-Bob Hebert of “Off The Bench” on 104.5 ESPN in Baton Rouge, Louisiana is one of some who believe the Tigers could run a two-quarterback system this season.

“Everything that I’m seeing out of LSU right now reeks of a two-quarterback system,” Hebert said. “And we know what they say about if you have two quarterbacks, right? This really is a prime case of why reputation and brand matters.”

Hebert went on to say that he’s giving Kelly the benefit of the doubt here because of what he’s accomplished and what his resume looks like. Still, time and past events across football have shown why it is easy to be wary of a rotating quarterback system with the ideology of “if you have two quarterbacks, you have no quarterbacks.”

It will be interesting to watch how this situation continues to unfold as the LSU Tigers face the Florida State Seminoles on Sept. 4.
