LSU scored a major recruiting victory Wednesday, as it picked up a commitment from Ohio State transfer Jakailin “JK” Johnson.
The 6-0, 179-pounder from St. Louis made the announcement via Twitter on Wednesday evening.

Johnson played in 13 games and started 5 for the Buckeyes in 2022, recording 20 tackles. He played in 2 games as a true freshman in 2021 and was in on 2 stops.
A highly touted recruit, Johnson was rated by the 247Sports Composite as a the 3rd-best cornerback and 50th-best overall prospect in the 2021 recruiting class.
Johnson picked Ohio State out of high school over offers from Arkansas, Georgia, Florida, Clemson, Texas A&M, and Kentucky, among several others.
