LSU capped Year 1 of Brian Kelly’s tenure in Baton Rouge by getting a 10th win with a blowout over Big Ten West winner Purdue. The Tigers’ 63-7 Citrus Bowl victory over the Boilermakers has college football fans looking forward to what’s ahead for Kelly’s squad in the 2023 season.

On Twitter, there was talk of LSU being a championship contender in Year 2 under Kelly. The Tigers return many of their top players next season, including Jayden Daniels and Harold Perkins.

Here’s a sample of what’s being said about the Tigers on Twitter:

The 2023 hype for LSU will be boosted by the Tigers’ season opener. Kelly’s squad will return to Orlando to begin the 2023 campaign against Florida State, a rematch of LSU’s 2022 opener. The Seminoles finished No. 13 in the final College Football Playoff rankings before picking up a 10th win with a Cheez-It Bowl victory over Oklahoma. Both teams could be preseason top-10 squads for 2023.
