Tristen Keys is looking to continue the WRU tradition at LSU.
Keys, ranked the top wide receiver in the 2026 recruiting class, verbally committed to play for Brian Kelly at LSU on Wednesday. Hayes Fawcett of On3 helped break the news, and Keys confirmed it with his own social media post.

Out of Hattiesburg (Mississippi) High School, Keys is listed as measuring over 6-2 and 180 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Keys is rated as the Class of 2026’s No. 1 player in the state of Mississippi, No. 1 wide receiver and No. 5 prospect overall nationally.
As one would expect, Keys’ talents attracted interest from coast to coast. He has scholarship offers from 33 programs, including Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Miami, Michigan, Mississippi State, Mizzou, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Oregon, Texas and USC. For Wednesday’s commitment, Keys chose LSU over Alabama, Tennessee and Texas A&M.
